Tradition and Transition: Grainger Battalion's 2025 Change of Command Ceremony

The Grizzly Battalion of Grainger High School held its annual Change of Command Ceremony on April 4th, marking a transition in Battalion leadership.
Cadet Major Eliza Henderson assumed command as the new Battalion Commander, receiving the colors from outgoing Cadet Colonel Johnna Hedge and Cadet Major Julisa Roman, alongside LTC Lynn. Cadet Captain John King was appointed Battalion Executive Officer, and Cadet Gina Amabile took on the role of Battalion Command Sergeant Major.
The ceremony also celebrated the promotions of several cadets, including Johnna Hedge and Jennifer Reyes to Cadet Colonel, and Julisa Roman to Cadet Major.
The Change of Command is an annual tradition signifying the transfer of authority and responsibility within the battalion. The battalion extended its sincere gratitude to outgoing Cadet Colonel Johnna Hedge, Cadet Major Julisa Roman, and LTC Lynn for their dedicated service and leadership throughout their term. A warm welcome was extended to Cadet Major Eliza Henderson, Cadet Captain John King, and Cadet Gina Amabile as they embark on their new roles.
